The Story of Jimbaran
Those familiar with Bali will recognise the name Jimbaran instantly. The name of a beautiful bay in the renowned island, it is synonymous with fabulous seafood, calm waters and breathtaking sunsets.
Here at Jimbaran Restaurant in Sydney, we try to recreate the feel of the real Jimbaran by providing the finest authentic Indonesian food that is painstakingly prepared in various traditional styles of cooking and presented in colourful arrays. The appearance, texture, taste and fragrance of the myriad dishes will delight any Indonesian food lover.
Jimbaran is not just about flavours and tastes, though. It is also about experiencing Bali without leaving Australian soil. The Balinese artworks proudly displayed, the cosy décor, the soothing music and the warmth and friendliness exuded by our staff all bear the hallmarks of Indonesian culture and hospitality.
Our Master Chefs
Alina Lucas, one half of the husband and wife team that owns and runs Jimbaran, is a self-taught chef who concocts her scrumptious dishes using family recipes with a modern pinch. With the help of her nephew and trained chef, Oly Lucas, Alina has kept long hours in the kitchen to conjure up some of the best Indonesian cooking, satisfying even the most demanding palates.
Don’t just take our word for it. Have a real taste of Jimbaran. Drop by our restaurant for a dine-in or have a take-away. It’s a culinary experience you’ll want to enjoy again.
